BodyHelix

After working with BodyHelix for a few months as a Facebook Ads client, it became clear their current website was outdated and unoptimized. Statistic were showing very poor conversion rates, and the decision was made to create a new site from scratch.

My first initial goal with the site was to make it feel “soft”. The value behind BodyHelix’s compression products are that they’re comfortable, breathable, and made from a very soft material. The current site had a very clunky, edgy feel to it, so during my initial wireframes I ensured to round all corners, to keep the brand messaging consistent.

I was heavily inspired by Gymshark and Alphalete’s websites at the time. Their minimalistic approach let their products do the talking instead of intricate designs, so I adopted the same approach for BodyHelix’s new site. Lots of whitespace ensured that the vibrant colors of their products would stand out.

This was also my first large-scale e-commerce build. I had built online stores before that had 2-3 products, but BodyHelix offered over 70+ products. A much needed conversion focused layout was designed and implemented to their product pages, that used the same hot spots as Amazon uses on their site.

After 3 months of design, development, bug testing, and migrating over a large database of client history, BodyHelix launched their new site in fall of 2020.
